I got the heavy duty front springs and the medium duty rear springs, installed the lift over the weekend, looks awesome. Finally doesn't look like a soccer mom rig. Waiting for the time to mount the bumper and winch.

More than likely the 927 fronts, not the 790s

They are the heavy duty option, I told them what bumper was going on it with a winch. I also told them I was planning on getting a roof top tent and they said go with the medium springs in the rear.

They consider the 927s as heavy duty , 790s are for the CRDs and we have found for bumper / winch set ups
For the rear you only have light and medium duty
Where did you buy them from ?
I personally have been installing them on KJs for almost 13 years now and I find that we ( on here ) know way more than most places that sell springs and shocks . Unless you are talking JBA or ALLJs . Any place else is laughable :happy175:

Besides $905 for the ome lift verses $2800 before tax and shipping for the jba lift, and I'm not going to leave it on there for all that long. Just long enough to find a good deal on a pair of the diffs and rebuild them and save up for a pair of Bilstein 5150 long travel coilovers for the rear and fox 2.5 for the front. Thinking about getting a Clayton off-road 3 link long arm kit and modifying it to fit the kj for the SFA and they have a coil spring 4 link kit for the rear, more modifying to fit the Libby but I could pretty much just build it for the amount of lift I want and run 33's. I've been a welder fabricator for 30+ years and have the equipment needed, just need to build up the cash for all of the parts. But would be a badass kj when finished.

If only going 33s why would you go SFA ? Steel front diff with 4.88s front and rear, 6 inch lift and done
Actually could of done 33s with my 4.5 inch lift really if I had the steel front diff
When I was going to go SFA on the 04 I was looking at 37s at least

When I was going to go SFA on the 04 I was looking at 37s at least
I mainly want the SFA so I can put a locker in the front end and not blow up cv's every time I use it. Not a fan of the rack and pinion ifs set up. Although I am considering putting the bumper and winch on and just using it as a cool looking daily and getting another TJ for a trail rig.

I put a No-slip in the front ~40,000km ago.... no thrashed shafts here... but we don't play in offroad parks either.

I've replaced 3 busted front diffs for other people
all was caused by not paying attention and being stupid basically
Install " good " lockers front and rear and have fun

I got rid of my tj and can't fight the itch to go wheeling, so set up my kj to go play seems like the logical thing. What is the best lift for 31/10.5 mud ta's and an arb bumper with a winch? Don't want to rub or dive under braking with the additional weight up front? Waiting for enlightenment before I order parts.lol oh and what backspacing on the wheels too?

If you want to make SURE you have an exact amount of lift, you need to go with adjustable coil-overs. Otherwise, it is just a guess. My educated guess for what you are doing would be to add OME 883's though if you want to add 150lbs but achieve no lift. The use of winch would be a wise move.

He last posted in 2018 , never to be heard from again
790s work well , not 883s
883s sparing rate is 588 lbs, even with an ARB and winch that is way overkill
