It's fun to be original and different.

BTW, I just bought 25 ounces of Dyna Beads
for new shoes. 5 oz. per tire.
Worked out to $18.00 per tire.
About the same price as having them balanced
at a tire shop.

It will be interesting to see how much longer
this set of M/T R's will last.
(With proper rotation schedule and tire psi!)

Hey Ry' Great looking tires!

Not to Hi-jack, but I thought I might comment On Big-O A/Ts for jguthrie...

How many miles would you have gotten if they had the proper pressure and rotation? Also, just tossing this in, know if it comes in the 245/70/16? I'm not lifted, though bigo tried to sell me the rough country lift. =)

Forgot to mention, bigo recommended their big foot a/t in the 245/70/16 since it was a "quality" Cooper tire rebranded with 50,000 mile warranty. Haven't really found any worthy reviews on the tire but I know a/t <> m/t so hard to compare these two.

I've had Big-O A/Ts on two different vehicles. One was an '81 Datsun Longbed 4x4, the other was a '99 Dodge Ram Shortbed 4x2. The Datsun was totalled over 20 years ago, and on the Dodge I swapped them out about 2 years ago, so it has been some time in between both experiences - but they were the same.

They were a great wearing tire, and all but industructable! No separating, balancing problems etc... I 'm sure I had some nail punctures fixed, but that's it. Probably got 50K-60K out of both sets. Never paid any attention to how rhey really performed (traction, wet/dry, etc...) as compared to others, but I was generally satified with them... Except.

In both instances they were a very stiff riding tire. I don't think I had heavy duty load ratings (tires) on either vehicle, but they did tend to make the trucks ride like it was an empty cement truck The Datsun was running a front lift (torsion bar suspention) and I originally attrbuted the stiff ride to that. I didn't realy notice the stiffness at first, as they were the new tires on the vehicles when I bought them, but as soon as I replaced them, it was like night an day.

Anyway, that's my $.02, and it's worth all that.

One of those Big O "A/T" tires look almost identical to Hankook Dyna Pro ATM tires...

Good luck with the Dyna Beads. I've heard mixed reviews them. Some guys say they didn't work properly and others swear by them, may have something to do with the type of tires/vehicle?

That they are!
And they did really well this past weekend, but I wish I had gone up to 265's!

The last set lasted (rounded down) 38000 kilometers/23612.11 miles.
The rear tires still have around 9mm tread left and will be used for our tent trailer.

Next set will be 265-75-16's.
If I go with a JBA 6 inch lift and Steel front diff in the next year- year and a half,
it'll be 285-75-16's.
(But then I'll radius both the front and rear wheel wells.)

I have seen that XJ in person and it's clapped out!
For an $2800.00 I can get a set of 32's and a Rubi Crawler.

And,I already have real "Man tires"!
