I've been watching the threads about overheating when wheeling, and since I've been taking my Libby off-road far more this year than in the past (new lift and tires make it safer/easier now) and I also tow a boat I've really wanted to get the HD cooling kit.
Found it! The assembly also fits a '99-'03 Grand Cherokee 4.0L Got a manufacturer's closeout email from RockAuto.com and one of the items listed was an HD shroud & fan. By the time I clicked on it the parts were gone - but their new stock was now available.
So my plan is to install the shroud and fan pictured below along with a mechanical fan and clutch, plumb the transmission cooling lines into the in-rad ****** cooler and be set up as though the Jeep came from the factory with the HD cooling system.
Thanks Ryan for your ideas - you had a post in a recent thread (that I can't find at the moment) in which you said your overheating trans issues are over when wheeling after putting the mechanical fan and clutch in your HD shroud system (along with already having the ****** lines in the rad cooler.)
I'll let you know how it works. Pics:
