Went to replace lower ball joint on my 05, axles are stuck in the hub and were not having it, tried everything short of a torch to get it to release with no luck. Anyone have any idea on special tools and techniques etc..?

WD40 or equivalent a hammer and a soft drift usually works, drop the bottom ball joint and the steering ball joint. pull the hub away from the car and sit it on an axle stand, don't bash it into the diff. Moving on from that a hydraulic puller will shift it. On reassembly clean and grease the male and female splines.
You can do the lower joint without pulling the driveshaft, it's a bit more fiddly.

Wait, you can replace the lower ball joint without pulling the driveshaft? Care to elaborate how to do that to maybe help with doing that?
Having the same issue on my 03 and came across this post while trying to figure it out.

When the front drive shaft was stuck and I couldn't remove it, I loosened the screw and drove the car forward and backward several times with 4Lo.
I don't know if it works for axles.
