Front Coilovers for an 02 Sport V6 4X4

I have an 02 Sport I that has Rocky UCA’s with a Rocky 2.5 “ spacer lift riding on KYB struts and springs that are 2 years old . Rear Shocks from Rocky kit but replaced two years ago. Also have 2” pucks in stock rear coils with both IRO upper and lower control arms riding on stock aluminum wheels with 245/75 16” Duratracs . Front seems too stiff and rear shocks are definitely too stiff on compression. I know I’ll get bashed for using Rocky Outfitters but it was all I could afford but the parts have lasted well and all is still in good condition. Would like suggestions on brand info and price range on front coilovers and rear shocks. Hopefully this will be last work to do for a while. Thank you and Happy Holidays to all !

OME 927 front springs and either OME or Bilstein front shocks
rear shocks OME 132Ls or Bilstein 24-185660
I would really go ahead and replace the rear springs as well since the old ones with the spacers can't ride well which will wear new shocks out faster

I fully understand about affordability
When I lifted the 04 ( first time) I had just bought it new, got married, moved 3 hours away to open a branch office in a months time, so money was tight
But bought OME springs, saved more, bought shocks, saved more, until I got all the right parts

Tommudd… do you have the part numbers on the front shocks to be used ? Do They come ready to assemble or is there additional hardware needed ? I got the spring number rear part numbers from your previous reply. Does anyone have a picture (s) to share of the setup with the wheel off ??

24-139168 front Bilstein shock number
Do not come assembled unless you go with a Frankenlift
( but they go higher with a spacer in the coils, they may build you a set with just new springs and shocks )

Thank you Tommudd ! Questions …. What about the strut spacers in the from ? Take them out ? What kind of lift height over stock would the front wind up being ? The Rocky spacer lift I have adds a claimed 2.5” in the front and 2” in the rear. I’d like to stay at this height. I run the stock 16” alloy wheels with 245/75 16 Goodyear Duratracs. Only tire rub is if you crank the wheel all the way hard it will rub on the sway bar (not bad) and the inner plastic lower front towards the radiator and again, not too bad. I’d like to stay at the current height. I have 1 year old Rocky UCA’s and I went to the LKQ yard and got a set of front lower control arms for $50. I have all new Moog bushings for the arms and a new lower ball joint for the drivers knuckle. I plan to install the bushings in the arms ahead of the tear down so I can do the whole job faster as it’s a daily driver. I have all the tools and equipment for the job. Hand tools, air compressor, jacks, stands, spring compressor set, ball joint/bushing remove/install set. ? Insights , thoughts ? Thank you

As far as where tires are rubbing, I just use a heat gun and heat the inner fender liners and shape them into position I need or want

I just got Moog when I did the 05 back a few months ago, holding up so far
Of course its just runs when my 89 year old Mother needs to go somewhere since she can't crawl up into the other two LOL
Heard pros and cons on them lately

@tommudd, I bought a 2.5 coil over kit in 2017 for my 07 KJ coil over and 1 eibach spring broke. Do you know part number? I can't find it and Marlin doesn't have it.

I have the OME’s and Bilstein’s going on very soon or at least when it warms up a bit ! I got new Moog strut mounts, all new Mopar spring isolaters front, rear , upper and lower. New Mopar shock bolts and nuts and I am the proud owner of 6 hockey pucks ! Wanted extra to be safe

When they compress the springs they will only set a certain way, they'll know where to get them set right

I got one for y'all - bought the JB Offroad coil over set with the Silver lift package (that they stopped selling in '19), now I *need* to change the shocks out of the front after bouncing a curb on an icy turn. The shock snapped off right at the collar that the lower part of the travel arm connects to, which in turn connects to the LCA. Not sure what shocks to get. Thinking it's a 12" C to 19" E. Bilstein sells stem to eye, but it's upside down... any suggestions?

Marlin's not been to forthright with any assistance - "Just like changing a regular coil over". Pffft.

BTW - PITA to get that out. Had to sharpen the drill bit twice before I got deep enough to get the backout bit to work. And acetylene to heat it up prior. Called a machine shop, but they wanted $165 just to walk through the door.
