Front drive shaft cv 3 replacements

I have noise com from my front drive shaft again. The first one was worn out when I bought the used Jeep at an auction.(Rear cv at The transfer case end) No biggie replaced it. Boom, 3 weeis later it fails. My fault, I did not realize I had to Grease it. So I bought another CV and this time I greased it and figured I should be good to go. Well that one lasted about a month and when it let go it came right apart lucky for me the shaft was long enough to lay on a cross member and not come through the floor. This time I bought a whole new drive shaft, it’s still together. But every once and a while I’ll hear that familiar click crunch,grind sound. It comes And goes all the time. Doesn’t matter what I do, engaged or not it makes noise. Then it stops. The other day I drove it to work 80km there and back. 3 days No noise. Then day four it started I have already rebuilt the t case. All front wheel bearings checked and cv axles checked. Can anyone give Me some insight on why I keep blowing this Cv? Also no aggressive 4 x4 has occurred just highway driving.

It's my understanding that there are various lengths of these front drive shafts. Rebuilding your original is the best bet. Most cv kits come with a package of grease and you want to use it all. If you no longer have your original shaft look for one at a wrecking yard out of one with the same equipment (engine, trans, and t-case) and rebuild it. If you doubt your ability to rebuild it yourself take it to a driveline shop and have them do it. If your current one is indeed too long or short it would certainly not last no matter what.

Where you getting your rebuild kits from? I speak from experience, the cheapo internet ones are a waste of money. Went through three of them and about a half dozen boots in 6000 miles till I sprung for the NAPA kit. Got 15k in 6 months on that kit, hard use on and off road. No issues.

The amount of grease that comes with the kits is not enough in my opinion. Grab you a tub of black moly at the parts store and really gunk that stuff up good.
How's them pain in the gluteus boot clamps treating you? Even with the proper tool, I found the ones that came with all the kits to be garbage. Either end up too tight and cut the boot or fail at random. I used "high security" metal core zipties and a zip tie gun on mine. Problem solved. Plus I had to buy the ziptie gun. One of the best involuntary purchases I ever made.

Also, how's the oil in your diff?

What the biggest failure on replacements is the way people grease them, they pack some grease around and slam it back together
BUT you have to really work it in good and around everything
I have done dozens of them using driveshaftparts.com ones over the years , and I know of several that have over 100,000 miles and still going strong
Buying a new or used one is tricky , since like mentioned their are different lengths

I am aware of the different lengths. The one I got IS the correct length. Any longer won’t fit and I’m sure this is the shortest one they make. standard transmission and transfer case is not part time or on demand.
Sounds like the consensus is not enough grease. I will take apart and apply more. Also the first one I bought to replace was a higher end one, but then I didn’t grease it so I’ll except blame for its failure.
Thanks for the other tips. I will check diff. And transmission oils as well.
