Been some done it, don't see the advantage really also some of those had vibration problems.
Also had to remove them to grease them each time,
but
hit the search button

As the front only rotates I fail to see the point. Kits to rebuild both ends are readily available, doubt the shaft it self will wear out before 4-5 rebuilds of the ends.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
I know there was a CRD that had a u-joint front driveshaft up around the Denver area and the vibs were pretty bad and it self destructed.

To properly use a u-joint driveshaft the angles must be set up to run the 2 types of u-joint driveshafts and you can not adjust the diff or t-case in a KJ so you will have issues and why a CV jointed driveshaft was used.

The pic below shows the correct angles for the 2 styles of u-joint driveshafts, same angles apply for the front driveshaft also.

Didn't think about vibration.

I didn't see anything there for a 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD Sport.

Do you have a link?

I did 2 rebuilds so far and I am looking for a 100,000 mile fix

Stock ones didn't last 100,000 in most cases , anything you put there is a wear item and will need to be rebuilt sooner or later
Never had any issues with the ones form driveshaftparts

I haven't made it 10,000 miles combined on the 2 I tried from driveshaftparts.com

I don't have the time and money for a 3rd. It'd be a little different if I was doing the work myself, but not being able right now, I am having to pay people and that won't fly.

driveshaftparts.com replaced the first one. I will try to get in touch with them again tomorrow for yet another replacement.

I need a fix that will last. I've already been burnt twice.

I've never replaced a front driveshaft in the 2 million combined miles I have put on my old GMT400's Right now I have 3 with over 300,000 miles and one more getting close to 300,000 miles. Never did anything to any of the front drive shafts on any of them. a 1995 2 door Tahoe, 1998 K2500 Suburban, 1996 K1500 Suburban and a 1994 K3500 Crew cab single with rear wheels - all 6.5 diesels

I would think there would have to be a decent fix for this.

I contacted driveshaftparts this morning and they said they would send another rear joint for the front driveshaft of the 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD Sport. - If I send them a picture of the current item on the vehicle.

I'm not sure what the picture is going to help with. But hopefully I can get them a picture in the next day or 2.

There is a definite movement in the joint and a clunk, when you twist it by hand.

I am not excited about trying a 3rd joint from them. I've heard more reports of bad than good for 2006 Jeep Liberty CRD's.

Are there any complete drive shafts that carry a good warranty?
