Front impact sensor

Hi Guys.
My 2002 KJ is saying no communication from front impact sensors, via scanner, can these be cleaned, or are they replacement only.
Im in Australia, do the KJ & KK share sensors , can the sensors from other models be used.
Apart from that she's a good little car, 19899 km and going ok.

What scanner are you using? 2002 is a very early model. What OBD2 codes are you getting?
The dealer may still have a "star scan" scanner kicking around.
Other than the star scan, the next Best scanner to use is a Snap On Modis Ultra.
