Up for sale - 1968 Austin Healey Sprite. Looking for $2500. Mileage unknown.

Car is painted - a DIY job - it's one color, but no show winner for sure. 1275cc 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual. Has bondo in the front fenders, but I have extra parts (below). Car is capable of running, but currently does not as it was torn down for a suspension rebuilt. ALL PARTS ARE THERE TO COMPLETELY DRIVE THE CAR - this is a complete vehicle. Needs some reassembly - 99% of interior is installed and good to go, needs radiator/front calipers/brake lines/hoses installed to fire up and drive.

New parts include:
Fully rebuilt Distributor w/pertronix unit - no more points! Built by Advanced Distributors. Better than off the factory floor!
Brand new (never installed) rebuilt OEM calipers, rebuilt by Peter at World Wide Imports
All new rotors/drums
New rear wheel bearings
New poly bushings
Rearched/refreshed rear springs
Goodrich stainless steel brake lines (need installation)
3.90 gear installed (4.22 also comes with the car)
New dash cap (never installed, still in box)
Silverstar sealed headlights

I also have:
Extra set of fenders (minor rust - good solid pieces to swap on)
Extra complete set of doors (glass, door panels, hardware)
Extra Windshield and frame assembly
Extra hood (pretty rough though)
Extra trunk lid - solid, junk paint on it
Original seats (covers in rough shape)
Original 4.22 gearset (3.90 gear installed)

It's a really cool car, something a little different. It's like driving a fun go-cart. Rip through first and second, jam it into 3rd, and you're doing 40 mph! Reason it is inoperable is I tore the suspension down in 2008 for a refresh, and life has just kept me away from it. Radiator and hoses are disconnected for me to remove the steering rack, therefore, it cannot be started. Car was driveable before the tear-down - engine and trans work just fine.

It's a small (easily stored/worked on) car that gets good gas mileage and is a blast to drive. Got a lot of looks and questions running around in it. Parts are readily available through Moss Motors, Victoria British, or Little British Car Company. You can pretty much build one of these from a catalog.

Recent pics - keep in mind, it's pretty dusty from sitting. Lots of new parts, and EVERYTHING needed to put it back on the road is included:

Still for sale. I have reassembled the car to the point it can and will start for a potential buyer.

Also, had an offer of $1500 I accepted and fell through. I'd gladly take $1500 for the thing if someone will come get it soon and doesn't haggle with me. Clear, valid title on it.

The guy who dropped the deal was buying it FOR his wife. Was going to be his winter project so she'd have it in the spring.

Thanks! I actually really could part the thing out and probably make more cash off of it, but I am an idiot and am attached to it. It's be like killing an old friend. Really would like to see it go somewhere that it can once again be useful. Thing's basically been sitting around for 20 years now!

It's so cute! Am I allowed to say that about a car? It's a very manly cute?!?!

St. Thomas would DESTROY a car like that, but I hope it finds a very happy home!
