Gear box/transmission problems

Hi ,

I have a Jeep Liberty 2004 plate (KJ), automatic 2.8 diesel - small Cherokee UK version.
My jeep keeps getting stuck in 3rd gear and refuses to change up to 4th gear. I've read the codes and got code P0845 transmission fluid pressure sensor, switch B circuit.
I've had the gear box oil checked and replaced. My jeep seems to keep using gear box oil for some reason. I've also got a rattling sound when the jeep is warm, Not sure if these are all connected!
I've took it to two mechanics who read the codes, change the gear box oil and then just tell me they don't know what the problem is or what the codes mean (as the codes are too generic) and to just get a new gear box..
After a bit of research, I'm wondering if it's to do with the transmission control module. I know there are also some sensors which may be causing the problem as well.
Has anyone had similar problems, or is it new gear box time?

I took a look into all data But can't find You engine 2.8, only 2.4 . The causes can be seen in attachment.

No, there is no oil dripping and we've had the mechanics check for leaks.
