Gear cover sealant

any particular brand anyone recomends?

I have a new/unopened tube of mopar atf rtv sealant that i am will be using for the transmission next month, will it work for gear oil?

I used the grey RTV sealant from permatex on my diff cover. worked fine. red would work also but I remember reading that grey was recommended. I don't know what in hades they used on the wife's trans but it was black and a nightmare to get off. sometimes sealant can be TOO good.

Ultra Gray works very well also.

I used red. Leaked with Synthetic, but with Dino oil now it doesn't leak at all.
