Glow plug removal

Hi. I'm tackling several jobs on the KJ, one of them being renewal of glow plugs.
I've watched tutorials , but they mostly skip over removals if the glow plug cap connection.
I've read that there are several types of glow plug, so prior to tacking the whole job, I'm trying to remove the one glow plug accessible with the alternator bracket removed. Trouble is, I can't get good access to the cap and can't pull it off, as one of the tutorials briefly stated.
I don't want to break it, so can anyone confirm how the connection comes off the glow plug and if I have to keep pulling, I will.

It pops off, I use a selection of long and cranked pliers to get them off and back on, it's fiddley!
