I keep my stuff in my Jeep all the time
but put it like this I have an air impact ,ratchet and cut off tool
in the Jeep all the time

1 thing you will not find in my Jeep is a chain

I actually have two, being involved with Emergency Management I have a bag of goodies for disaster response that contains many items found it most off road vehicles anyway.
Then I also carry a tow strap, fire extinguisher, jumper cables, 12vdc air compressor, and a folding shovel.......

K-Bar/another cheap beater knife

Swen Saw and 2 e-tools

Mil backpack packed with misc stuff including a serious first aid kit I mostly made up complete with with clot packs/ compass and local mountain maps/change of clothes and other misc stuff

2 air compressors/power lug nut wrench/4 way lug wrench/portible hydraulic floor jack/02KJ bottle jack/jack stands/plywood and a couple of short 2x4

tire plug kit I made up

2 flashlights and a spotlight

fire extinguisher

recovery strap and shackle/tree saver strap/tow strap

tool bag with assorted tools and OBD11 code reader & service manual

hip waders

small tarp

There's much more. The back is packed solid. The backpack hangs behind the drivers seat. No one could fit behind the driver seat. No one ever rides in the back anyway.Some stuff changes with the seasons.

I am sick I know and I need therapy.

Big rubbermaid container with engine oil, gear oil, ****** fluid, brake fluid, grease gun, bungee cords, repair manual, lube-locker rear diff gasket, tool box with a various array of sockets, wrenches, zip ties, rtv, heavy duty epoxy, misc other tools, high lift, recovery strap w/d-ring, net for roof basket, 4-way for lugnuts, collapsable saw, hiking boots, mag-lite, fire extinguisher, blanket, first aid kid, spare flashlight batteries, spare cb radio coax w/various connectors, pocket knife... and probably more stuff I'm forgetting.
