Where can I find them for the rear? I've done a few searches...even autozone said they can't get one for me. WTF. Figured since I have some vibes that I should do the U-joint...so may as well do the driveshaft at the same time too. I don't want crap quality though. I'll spend the extra dough!!

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Find a local driveline shop and have it rebuild and re-balanced.I had a local shop rebuild a rear XJ driveshaft with a new CV end(double cardon joint),all new u-joints,and re-balanced for $150 using Spicer parts only.

Ask around where hotrods or the more extreme offroaders get there driveshafts done locally. If you think you'd get better quality by buying a driveshaft like one from Ton Woods your sorely mistaken as your just paying for a name when they use the same parts as good driveline shops use but charge more.

Agree about tom woods , replaced my u-joints myself,no problem. Used greasable u-joints no prob in 15-20 thou. mile.

I never even heard of tom woods stuff. lol. I have heard of the spicer...tried to do a search for them...but i guess you gotta call them. I'd rather buy new if i can..i'm kinda paranoid of getting things used or re-done. I have some pretty terrible luck

If you want new just drive down to the dealership and order one, might take awhile and will cost about $700.

You can also have a driveline shop make you a 100% new driveshaft, just take yours in and let then get the measurements and they can usually have it done in a day or 2 and should run about $200-$300.

I might skip the dealership...doubt i'll ever go there again...at least not the closest one to me. They seem very uneducated. I'll check around here and see what i can find. Thanks tjkj

But more than likely thats just a ujoint that is worn out/ rusted up
I'd replace them not replace the whole driveshaft:shrug:

Same results after my lift Bruce ... just got my u joints today. I'll keep ya posted but I think you may be going overboard with a whole new drive shaft
