Got a question regarding ‘05 Sport HEATER causing AC to engage.

Basically when I turn on cabin heat, setting on floor position, the compressor engages and appears as though the coil freezes and water drains to the ground. It only happens on floor setting. Is this normal?

The AC is supposed to engage in some heater positions to help dry the air. Service manual has a table showing various settings and AC activation.

ah yes, it's that time of the year when the evap coil freezes over at the slightest hint of moisture.
