ok i have an 05 liberty ever since i bought the vehicle it has been having this problem with the headlights. when ever you start the car you can turn the headlights on and off. once you shut the engine off then shut the lights off they stay on. however you can turn the headlights on and off twince then they finally shut off. does anybody have either a link to some wiring diagrams or know whats going on with my liberty. thanks

that isnt a problem. There is a built in delay for the headlights. if you turn off the lights after the ignition is turned off, the lights stay on for a min or so, if you have the EVIC it is changable i believe. Otherwise just turn off your lights before you shut off the jeep.

Wow... Just...wow. It never ceases to amaze me how few people even read their owner's manual when they buy the car, let alone after they run into "problems" with the car to see if it is covered. 90% of the time it is in there and they never even bothered to look.

But yeah, while we are on the subject, I have a problem of my own with the Liberty. A little gasoline pump light comes on when my fuel gauge seems to hit about 2 gallons remaining.

I have the same problem, but I couldn't find "duel gauge" in my owners manual...

well i understand that some models have automatic lights how ever i do not have this option. The headlights stay on for more than 5 minuets thats a lot longer than ive ever heard of all the lights staying on. they will never shut off it seems. i have waited over five minuets for them to shut off before i go in and shut them off myself

hmm must be something that they changed on the newer models. I have an 02 renegade and I dont have the EVIC or anything and my lights switch off after about a minute or so.
