Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Any good LED setup will have integrated thermal heat management,if not they are not worth buying.

The thermal heat management will "strobe" the LED faster then the human eye can detect when it reaches a certain temp thus cooling it.

All my LED's have that(Rigid and VisionX) but not cheap, hell my 2500 lumen LED search light(30watt LED chip) has it.

Right, which is why I said what I did
You can get the ones he got for $70 on eBay and I highly doubt they have any type of thermal management
They expect the air that hits them while you drive to cool them down
In this situation, having them enclosed cuts off any air, also traps all the heat inside to basically bake them
Which is exactly why my old fogs were getting extremely hot, they were junk and I threw them away
That's why I got ones I know will work how they should and cool themselves

For me a good set of bulbs like the Phillips Extremes is enough, combine them with a good set of fogs and / or driving lights and I have plenty of light and control what I need when I need them.
Don't see the need for the other lights at all .
