Hi all, thanks for the add.
I have a 2003 Liberty v6 auto Freedom edition.
The build sheet says it had keyless entry, but I went to have a key fob made and the guy said he doesn't "see" it to program the fob. So I did some research and it looks like my passenger door has been replaced. If that is where my module was, did they disable the keyless entry? I don't see where it would have plugged in on the door as there is no unused wire connections. of the wires coming into the door. I am confused.. Can anyone shed some light on the keyless entry system? Photos of the module would be great, so I know what I am looking for. Thanks for any help.
Update.... Issue resolved
Here was my fix.
On they driver side, attached to the fuse box under the dash is the body control module. Attached to that is a small black box called the keyless entry module. Mine was bad. The part has been discontinued by Mopar, but I found one on Ebay. After installing the new module I took it to a guy that can program new key fobs without any working fobs and he programmed me two new ones. Everything now works, locks, unlocks and opens the back window as it should. Problem solved.
