Hello from Shreveport

Hey there y’all, my name is Mike and I guess it is finally time I introduce myself; I am the proud owner of a 2006 Jeep Liberty Sport 2WD, Auto. I wasn’t looking for this Jeep when it found me, but I sure am glad I did get it. I was without transportation when this was traded in at work, the used car manager warned me that it would be rough and need work but the price was in my budget so I checked it out. It started and moved under its own power so I felt that was a plus, pulled it in the shop to give it a look and to make it road worthy it needed four tires and rear pads and rotors, and a O2 sensor to clear the light. I bought the parts and was on my happy little way, or so I thought, three days later the fuel pump failed. I didn’t get discouraged, it does have 206,*** miles on it and shit happens, installed a new pump and about a week later the water pump starts weeping. In the process of replacing the water pump I decided that I might as well replace the A/C compressor that has been growling with shot bearings. It has been great for two months now and I am at the point that I think I am ready to tackle the wore out ball joints and what I believe to be wore out front shocks. It sits with a rake of the front much lower than the rear. I was planning on just slinging in a couple of Monroe Quick Struts but would like to have it sit level, and kinda thought about the Rough Country level kit to go with it. I’ve been reading a lot of different stuff on here and now am not sure which way I really want to go for leveling it out. Obviously being a 2WD I’m not going to be doing a whole bunch of rock climbing or going into deep mud but still like playing off the pavement.

Sounds like you are getting things back up to speed on it, good job.
As far as suspension goes these usually sag at least an inch in front by the time they have 60-70,000 miles on them.
Measure from middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare in front, new they would of been 19 inches.
As far as Rough Country lift :favorites68::favorites68:wouldn't install it or any spacer lift even on any of my Ex-Mother-In-Laws Kjs ( if they owned one)
NO MATTER if you drive across your front lawn, you need good springs and shocks even driving down the highways .
So please don't even think spacer lift , they are simply junk on KJs

Thanks for the input, I'd really would rather wait and get better quality parts. I have never been a fan of the idea of spacers. I'm just going to have to shop around for a good quality two inch kit. I've seen plenty of KJ's on the net with them and really like the stance.

ONLY 2 inch is the OME and its actually 2.5 inch with the 927/948 combo of springs
BDS has one but no front shocks come with the kit and the rears are junk
Skyjacker has one as well but the spring rate is the same as stock so its not good either really.
Rustys has a kit but its only saving grace is they use OME front shocks, otherwise not worth it
RRO, well just never mind them.
I have either installed or uninstalled most every kit there is for the KJ, lifted a ton of them, and found out what works and what doesn't . best place to shop is JeepinByAl for various lifts also All J Products - Aftermarket Jeep Products, Boulder Bars, Bumpers, Jeep Lift Kits, Skid Plates and MORE! has a lift they designed but still uses OME parts, one issue with it is it give over 3.5 -3.75 inches when settled in so would need the jeepinbyal UCAs right away
