Help please ASAP with P0700 Code drive not past 2nd gear

Help please ASAP with P0700 Code drive not past 2nd gear

I am new to this forum and with KJ, I have just bought this 2005 KJ with 200km, all seem to be in good shape with test drive only in an under ground parking.
Once I took it out on the open road, I have found the transmission will no shift pass 2nd gear going at 60-70 km @3000+ rpm causing over heating after a short drive.
Can this be repaired DIY or need to be done by a transmission shop? Any recommendations for a reputable shop in South Vanciuver or Richmond area that's honest and reasonable without taking it to the stealership? Tough time to try and save up. Your help is very much appreciated, thank you

Scanned for the engine code and came up with these two code. Tried clearing it but came back in a few minutes.
Have saw some post about clearing and resetting the TCM but haven't tried yet. Any instruction or suggestion would be much appreciated. Thank you

Check your transmission fluid to see if it’s low or dirty. You may need to take it to a transmission shop to get the control module checked. The other code is a downstream oxygen sensor, on the left side I think.

You might need a more expensive scanner to reset the transmission codes, and to see what stored codes are in the TCM.

Thanks for the quick respond KLC, transmission fluid is good as with other fluids. Any recommendations for a good transmission shop?

Stan's Transmissions has been around in Vancouver for 60 years - give them a call.
Thanks for your suggestion. I brought my Datsun 280Z into Stan's in mid 80s to diagnose a minor rinding while shifting into second gear. They called me back a day later to tell me it needs a complete rebuild with bad syncro for $1300 which I do not have. So I told them to put it back together so I can live with the minor grind. They said it will cost me $650 to put it back together as they have already took it apart without telling me in advance. I didn't know how to object that at the time but agree to borrow money to pay them to do a complete rebuild to get my car back.
