I have given up on these. Both sets burned up on me. Sent them back like 3-4 times but its just not worth the shipping anymore. They do not work with my jeep or my fathers F-350. They just die!

Mine have been good. No issues thus far. Of course I have a different type of bulb than the standard wedge base one.

Sorry but do you mind elaborating on what you have?
Went through the thread very briefly but didn't see a post from you specifying what you are using.

Thank you

1156 was an old number when I first started working on cars in the early 70's. I'd guess that number was one of the first 12v bulbs. Single contact ground-thru-base design.

My thoughts:

My set had one bulb burn out about two weeks before the one-year warranty ran out. They replaced it and it has been fine ever since. I would check to see if they've changed the warranty terms since then, though. :)

Had it go bad again late last May and decided to go back to the stock variety. You would think that for as little as they are used they would last a bit longer.

Mine didn't even make it a year. I was too ticked off to pay the return freight to ship them back, so I put regular bulbs in. They've been in more than 2 yrs with no problems.

I originally for a couple days ran these as brake lamp bulbs, wasn't thrilled they were still limited on output in the red housing, so I threw them in as reverse lamp bulbs. Damn do they light up the area.

I'm bringing back an old thread. I just installed JDM brand led reverse lights based on the good amazon reviews. So far im happy with them much brighter than stock.

Well the left rear backup light died today after 4 years. I ordered a set today and they have already shipped. They should be here in a few days.

Back from the nearly dead again. A little over a year ago, I traded my liberty in, to get my wife a new car, and she gave me her Ford Explorer. Last Thursday I traded that in for an '08 Wrangler Unlimited. Guess what. I put the stock lights back in my Liberty just before trading it in. After using these the whole time before that and having no problems, I just stuck them in my tool chest drawer. Who knows, I may need them later. Well a little over a year later, come to find out, these fit in my Wrangler. They are working just fine.

I need something like this for the 3rd lamp up high, that thing is terribly dim.

Th 3rd lamp up high is just a brake lamp. Why does it need to be superbright? I really hate being behind vehicles with extra bright brake lights...
