OK, 2004 Sport 3.7 liter. 225-70-16 inch tires
180300.0 Km/112033.23 miles
Drivers side front 18 inches
Drivers side rear 18 7/8 inches
Passengers front 18 inches
Passengers rear 18 1/8 inches

This is the stock suspension/what it left the Chrysler factory with.

It will be interesting to see the "After" with the Frankenlift and 245-75-16 inch tires

Good day all,

189633.0 Km/117832.48 miles...
Thats 9333 Km/ 5799.257.34 miles later!
With the Frankenlift/clevis lift installed {Including 2 rear ISO's per side in the rear.
These are the stats.
Drivers side front 23.5 inches
Drivers side rear 22.5 inches
Passengers front 23.5 inches
Passengers rear 22.5 inches

Thats 5.5 inches deferents!
After machining 3/8 {0.375 inch = 9.525 millimeter*} off of the inner CV Joints, with NO complaints(Yet) from the inner CV Joints.
The ride is very smooth and ultra firm. I feel like I'm driving a new vehicle!
Instead of hitting an undulation in the road surface or one off road like I did with the Factory suspension, now our KJ just "Trucks" over it without a hick-up or the feel of the front coil springs "Stacking"
This Frankenlift is F cking awesome!

My skids are still on back order for some reason, so that will be later to come!

Cheers
Ry'

*OK, so I machined an add "C" hair or two... I have an extra 4 sets of inner CV Joints to play with!
So If I Ef a pair up... OH WELL!

The only thing that has Jen concerned is the noise of the front coil springs "Breaking in"!
A little bit of groaning never hurt a virgin... 4X4 vehicle one bit!

Cheers
Ry'

How long do OME Coil Springs last?

Our Rig has been lifted since October 7-2009
So two years and two months, 7 days.

It's been lifted for 54,553.8 kilometers / 33,898.2miles.

When first lifted we had 4.5 inches of lift.

I went out this morning to measure out of curiosity to see how much the springs have settled in the last 26 months and 7 days.

The height now:

Drivers side front 21.5 inches
Drivers side rear 21.0 inches
Passengers front 21.5 inches
Passengers rear 21.25 inches

So as it sits it has 2.5 inches of lift now.

Mind you, this Heep has been wheeled HARD in those two plus years, as well as being fully loaded with camping and equipment and other stuff!
I am going to install a pair of ⅜" aluminum top plates in the coming weeks as well as additional ½" thick rear polyurethane isolators.
Also thinking of adding a pair of Firestone airbags to the rear coils.

By summer We'll be ordering a pair of CRD OME 790's coils for the front.

I am curious to hear from other Frankenlift owners what their height is...

Excellent record keeping. I wish I had been so maticulous. Put my OME setup in 1.5 years ago and still very happy with it.

Kind of suprised your below 22 with franky and 3? Ring clevis.

How much weight / stuff is over front wheels you have these days?

I imagine those hard miles have taken their toll and those 790 's will help you out. Guess new front shocks are due too.

Thanks!
Just force of habit when it comes to motor vehicles.
I document everything!

Sounds like yours lasted about 2 years. It looks like OME won't last forever.

Ya, I guess when you actually go out and use a lift equipped Jeep off road for what it was designed for, stuff wears out Eh?
I just figured it wasn't going to settle that much in the last twenty six months is all!

Our KJ actually has 16mm. of clevis lift equalling 32mm./1.26 inch of additional lift.
Probably what caused that much settling in the first place.
But then again, the rear coil springs settled just as much!

38 lbs. for the Backbone winch mount and 87 lbs. for the winch equalling 125 lbs. total.

I guess so!
We enjoy beating on our Rig off road.
A minimum of at least twice per month and then there are the one week and two week long camping trips with several hundreds of pounds camping equipment, recovery gear, food, and booze throughout the year!

I think the OME 790's will do quite well considering I am going to be adding a prerunner style tubular front bumper/stinger built onto the Backbone this spring.

Can't wait to see that bumper. I have a bumper with a stinger, but can't seem to find time to figure it out. Anyway, yeah mine seems to be on the same track as yours. I don't wheel much, but the last thing I do is baby it. 3/8 boiler shims, ~5/8 clevis sitting at 22 1/4 in front. 2 extra isos in rear sitting at 22.5. If I carried as much junk as you I'd probably be right there with you. My lift will be 2 years old May 5th.

I ran my first OME lift 100,000 miles with no real issues.
As a matter of fact its on another KJ now.
Of course if mine is going to be sitting more than a day it goes up on jack stands so no load on the suspension just sitting around.
I did have to add a top plate and 3/8 inch clevis during that time.
Now the new lift using Frankenlift parts and 790 springs has over 35,000 on it have had to adjust the drivers side, which is normal but other than that it hasn't sagged much if any at all
Still at 23.25 both sides in front
of course it has ate a CV on the right side, boot wore out from the extra angle :happy175:
