How to Identify 4.10 Gears

I'm beginning to source parts for a future lift/regear and found a salvage front dif that supposedly has 4.10 gears. Other than taking the seller's word for it, how can someone make sure they are indeed 4.10s?

Is there something stamped on the gears themselves? Sorry if this is a noob question, this will be my first time messing with gearing.

Spin the tire one revolution and yoke should turn 4.10 revolutions. If the yoke spins about 3.75 times it's a 3.73.

And if the differential is sitting on my garage floor not attached to an axle?

Remove the cover and count the teeth on ring and pinion and divide that.
Some ring gears have the number of teeth stamped on them.
41/10 = 4.10
41/11=3.73
