Alright everyone last night me and my friend were out messing around in a bad snow storm and I ended up sliding in the ditch, hitting a culvert and rolling my liberty! Thankfully no one was hurt but my kj is in bad shape, the roof of the drivers side is caved in and windshield is destroyed, front doors wont open, front windows broken, but the whole back end is fine.. So my question is what should I do with it now? I am 17 and have no money to fix it, I was offered 350$ for it but I dont know if this is fair.. Any help?

I only have liability, also we towed it to a field behind my house and did not call the police. I did cancel my insurance shortly after anyway.

You could probably get more than $350 if you part it out.

What year is it. How many miles? Engine?
There is probably a few on this forum that could take parts off your hands.

Where in WI are you?

Doesn't sound like it fixable even if you did have the money.
Expensive lesson for sure
But 350 is giving it away if you want to do some work and part it out, if not then you may get a little bit more

Yeah it broke my heart to crawl out and look at my baby upside down in a field. So should I put it under the For Sale Forum do you guys think? I'm just very lost at this point

Glad everyone was ok, but what a sad waste of a good jeep. Driving irresponsibly, without insurance to cover the vehicle(beyond liability) is plain silly at best. Hope you learned something from this.

Just wanted to add this.
I am 17 and have no money to fix it
When you are in a situation, and that quote applies, that means you need to remove yourself from that situation. I carry full coverage on my jeep. I also can fix nearly anything on my jeep. I can accept the responsibility of taking risks if I go out. I also have considerable experience in bad weather. You're 17, very little real driving experience, and if asked, you could not afford to repair or replace the vehicle if you jacked it up, playing. That right there is when you say to your friends, "naaah, I'll stay at home tonight". The jeep is junk, its done. I'm telling you this, so you do not make the same mistake again. You got lucky this time. Next time you could be Paul Walker.

Well, to look on the bright side, any undercarriage work you need will never be easier. :icon_cool:

I'm sorry to make light of it. And I am very glad that you weren't hurt. You'll work this out, be wiser for it, and in the long run it will just be a bump in the road. In this case, both figuratively and literally.

Yeah, you may want to take that photo off facebook ASAP.

If I recall correctly WI law requires you to report any accident on public roads if:
1. There were any injuries that required medical attention.
2. Any other vehicles where involved.
3. the vehicle was not able to be driven from the scene of the collision.

#3 applies to your case I assume.

That being said, I think Twack is looking for an engine.
And I may be interested in some bits too.
