That is a nice setup there TJKJ.
At my buddies dads shop, there is a desiel tech there that got a custom built box from Matco, cost himself about $20,000 all said and done just for the box but with the added box on the one side and locker on the other it was about 10 ft long..
I wish I still had the picture I took of it!

Yeah and there is a vast difference between a sealed Spicer u-joint and that "made in China" u-joint you paid $15 for.The Spicer u-joints is the best driveshaft u-joint you can buy.


Oh and yes I know the difference between a sealed u-joint and greaseable u-joint,and both have there strengths and weakeness and one is really not better then the other.The greaseable is weaker but if you actually grease it often(every oil change) it will last longer,the sealed u-joint is by far stronger but being non-serviceable has a shorter lifespan.

Tjkj I would bet thet you have more tools than what fits in just that one tool box. I have a 18'x22' room that my large tool box is in and lots of peg board plus what I would say is small boxs in my garage at home and #$%^#& if I dont need more tools.
? How many zerks are on your tool boxs as many as your Kj LOL Like Noah 2 of every thing right loard

Yeah I've got three 4 drawer carts full of tools at work(in addition to my 67" Cornwell box),the back of my KJ is full of tools(and insured),have another 4 drawer cart at Rock Lizards(among other very big tools),and enough tools to fill another two 4 drawer carts in my apartment.I buy tools like women buy shoes.

With the typical jeep liberty owner..(young Ill-knowledged girl). Tried to say $226 to install the rear speed sensor.. I've done it before took maybe 3 min. Literally involves one bolt. I said ugh no thanks how much for just the sensor? $37. Then they had the balls to want $402 to do a "4wd service" which is drain and refill both diffs and xfer case.. Ya ugh no thanks.. And after that they want to tell me that it's not supposed to have a lift on and not supposed to have bigger tires. I replied ok guy. Thank you for your time and advice.. I left slightly offended.

u think thats crazy. some guy at my job bought an 07 audi a8 about 5 months ago. couldnt drive it because he bought it in virginia and he couldnt get it registered in nj for some reason. so long story short hes finally gettin it on the road again but it has a dead battery. he goes to an audi dealership around where he lives and they wanna charge him $500 to recharge the battery. i told him theres nothing special about your battery. just go to some little shop by where u live and u can have it done for like 30 bucks

Heck just being a tech is getting harder as we are responsible for our own tools.Not only do we have to amke enough to pay our normal bills but also to pay the weekly tool payment,sometime multiple payments to 2-3 tool trucks a week.

Ain't that the truth. I've spent almost $40,000 over the span of 10 years on tools. I have almost anything you can think of. But every year, new models require new tools to work on them. It's a never ending cycle. p:
