Your right on both accounts. There is a slight improvement with gas mileage just because of the less restriction that the muffler will provide. It's not something that will make you run out and get one NOW, but there is a recorded increase. Also, the sound enhancement is pretty sweet. I love to give it gas when going under bridges here in the city. Just fun. LOL! It also slightly improves Horsepower. Again, these things are just slight increases, but they are increases.
