I love the back yard view!

It doesn't look as nice in the back without snow though. There will eventually be a small group of house built behind us but mountains in front and back and both less than 10 minutes to get up into. I like it here.

Reno is in a fairly small valley. There are quite a few other cities, towns and communities that are very close to Reno that make up the Truckee MEadows area and all of them are surrounded by mountains.

Thanks. I'll get a better shot of the front side mountains tomorrow if the weather permits. They are really beautiful covered in snow and you can see all the runs at the ski resort right up the hill from me. Just over the top and to the Lake and there are resorts all over the place. It is really beautiful up there in winter. I'll get some shots up at the lake for you guys some time this winter as well.

Inc...beautiful area. Isn't Truckee one of those areas that gets like 10 foot snow storms once in a while or is that Northern California. I missed traveling through that area when I was in the desert states.

Truckee is in northern CA, and is only a 40 minute drive away. They get a lot more snow than Reno does though. The snow fall really slows once the elevation drops coming down into Reno from Truckee and Donner.
