Hey TJ, look at the IFS KJ. LOL. Did you remover the under hood padding and not replace it? I imagine that stuff is only for sound deadening right??? Im not ballsy enough to install those on my truck. Any suggestions for where to have it done?

Thanks.

there's more to the price of a proper paint job than the cost of what come out the sprayer sillies.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
You are kidding? $9k?

my god!! to get that orange do they mix in the tears of baby bunnies!?

No.

If I did not get the paint at cost and actually paid labor(I did it so labor was free) it would have been just under $9000 for the paint job and prep labor. It's not your standard paint job,it's a tri-coat paint and uses alot of pearl and that s**t ain't cheap.Plus the 8 coats of clear racks up the price also.Actual price was $3000 for paint and materials, another $500 for the new hood and windshield.

Yeah the underhood pad had to go.It was very easy to do just gotta take your time and measure about 5000 times then cut.I actually eyeballed it and Marty then measured,I was like a 1/8" off.I could not say about any shop around your area, sorry.

I was just wondering if anyone had ever considered using vents off a boat? The type used to vent the engine fumes from the hull. It was a thought I had back a few years when I was trying to solve some overheating on a Scout II.

Something similar to these...

There are several types/styles available, and they come in black, chorme, etc...

Best of all, they are readily available (any boat shop) and are fairly inexpensive.

Did you paint the metal where you cut it, to keep it from rusting?
Of course you have to paint it, I used some black paint I had and brushed it on around the cut, I forget what we did with wildmans when I did his
