installing tow hooks, no M bolts

got tow hooks and brackets, i got all the nuts, the nut clips, and the small bolts for the nut clips, but no M bolts.
i was thinking of just using some 1/8 plate drop two metric bolts through it and weld them to it instead of an M bolt, anyone know how wide the inside of the frame is? i have 1-1/4 wide 1/8 bar that i can use, i am assuming there is room for that...

thats the plan,
1/8 bar with bolts welded to it in place of the M bolt that way i only need one wrench.
i was just wondering how wide of metal i can fit in there

well i got the parts i needed made up, but looks like i will have to take the bumper off to install these... oh well.

I haven't figured out how to get mine on without removing the bumper fascia either. There is probably a trick to it, I just can't figure it out:disgust:

yea i tried reaching between the bumper and the frame but not enough space. oh well. the bumper needs new clear coat anyways.

Just finished installing my tow hooks. Took alot of patience, some wobblies and extensions, and a few beers; but we got them on without removing the bumper fascia.

I just pulled the facial, dropped a couple of bolts in, bolted on the hooks and reattached the facial.
