Hi, my interior dome lights seem to be permanently on, I took the dashboard lights intensity switch off max (as per advice elsewhere) which fixed it for today, but now the dash is telling me the glass is open. It isn't, it latches and locks OK. To hinder analysis, some idiot of a previous owner has fitted tinted glass, so I can't see what's going on inside. The 'catching loop' (sorry I don't know the correct part name ) is obviously hitting the locking mechanism Am I right in thinking that the square rubber-covered pad to the left of the mechanism should be pushed by that catching loop, and acts like a light switch? If that is the case, it's the most likely culprit, and I'll somehow make it thicker.
There are a ton of small faults with this Jeep, but sorting them one at a time is half the fun.
Thanks in advance.
