Well what the hell am I missing? Parting that thing out would get him way more money than any crappy insurance buy out. Hell, Id buy that rear bumper from him for good money!

I ended up with 6 lights that were on it
Yes he could have more than likely made more, but since he lives in an apartment complex, no garage, works a lot no place or time for tear down / part out. He was able to remove a very few things before it bye bye

But I feel bad, but also glad I got the Vision X LED Light Cannons and the 2 sets of Rigid Dually pods for mine

Without any disclosure about why not doing a partout vs insurance buyout would lead some to believe he got a good deal. Some can insure for aftermarket upgrades too

He had everything he had done documented/ prices etc and all was insured VERY well. Something that many do not think of

Well as long as he was covered. Thanks guys. I dont know the man, but I do know he was very helpful (much like Tom always is) on these sites and he seemed to know what he was doing! His truck certainly was proof of that. I wonder what he'll get into now?

Yeah. I saw his Jeep before I owned a Jeep actually. Owning a liberty wasn’t even thought of at the time

So I believe I found someone using this jeep as scam.
It was listed in the link here for $2,000 and still “has not sold”. I was contacted by the new “owner” who claims this was never wrecked or damaged and has a 2.5L gasoline engine.

I can post snap shots of the conversation

I just thought it was good for everyone to know the AutoTrader link is / was the scammers point of entry.
I inquired when the post was made out of curiosity and this person is using the photos and information from this site to fraud or attempt to fraud a bunch of people.

I’m working on a way to upload the conversation via email

So I mentioned I have an eBay account and requested to view the listing. No response.

The "True seller" a Colorado dealer still has it for sale now at lower price.
If we go back in this thread to post # 8 there is still a working link about his KJ for sale. I do not see any mention of salvage title or a rebuilt status.

It would be interesting for the original owner to email the lady back inquiring about all her memories with the jeep lol. I guess he never knew another woman and her late husband had a lot of history with his Jeep.

In all honesty tho - this is the second person trying to sell this jeep and using it to scam people. Last one wanted 7500$

I would like to see someone one this forum end up with it. It would also be interesting to know the story of how it got to where it's at now.
