If you don't need to have plates up front, why the plate holder?
Also, please remove that spare cover. It looks much better without the cover.

I just got her, no plates front or back. But, it was getting on my nerves too. I especially hate that its cracked. You can see a little piece flipped out on the side. I plan to get a new holder and a vanity plate for it. I only have the cover because my brother had the tire mounts rust out on him. I figured it maight protect. Not true?

Not really...just wash it regularly, and rust will stay away.

Noise gone in rear end!

I am working my way through to the 60k mile maintenance. Without maintenance records, I can't be sure about the maintenance that has been performed. I changed out the rear differential gear oil for 75w-140 with a modifier. I was hearing a noise in the rear end. Since the change-out, no noise. I'll just be wating a little longer on the Detroit TrueTrack switch-out. I don't feel right changing-out a LSD that's working. I'll wait for it to go out.

New Tires

I just had my new 245/70R16 General Grabber AT2's put on. Better stance. I still need the odomoter reset (pinion point reset). Until then, I'll drive slower.

Thanks, I'll let you know how I like the tires after 3k miles. Now, if I can just figure uot how to calibrate the speedometer myself. Everyone says the dealership can do it. I like to do stuff myself though. That's part of the Zen of Jeep ownership.screwy.gif
