The Skid Row plates are worth every penny. OE plates are discontinued and getting very hard to find in serviceable condition.

Just ordered one from ASFIR 4X4.

Couldn't find one from a salvage yard.

They were the only ones who had them!

Thank you so much for the feedback!

Now that you have had them a decent amount of time, how has it stood up? have you dragged it over any rough stuff?
The way they mount I am a little shy that it would not get torn loose when getting winch dragged over some rough stuff...

The skid has not taken a direct hit since I installed it, so I can’t speak to that. With the 4 inch lift and a good spotter, my Jeep has done some rocky washed out trails without contacting anything underneath. But the skid has held up really well in terms of corrosion resistance and I have no doubt that it’s strong.

Here are a couple of pics showing it does hang down a little lower than the TC skid, but not too much.

Unlike the OEM gas tank skid, this one covers the gas tank hanger instead of replacing it.

could I bother you for more pics? I suspect I will be building our own at this point, the more info to work with the better :)

Thank you!

Ok, here are a few more, in addition to the photos already shown above.

Here is the original Mopar skid plate on the left, which is essentially a regular gas tank hanger with an extra steel plate welded to the bottom. On the right is the regular gas tank hanger I replaced it with.

The ASFIR plate bolts over the top of the normal gas tank hanger. I had to drop the tank because I was replacing the rusty skid above, but you would not have to if you are just adding protection to a normal KK gas tank. The skid here employs the same bolts that already hold up the gas tank. Since I was already dropping the tank, I replaced my high mileage fuel pump too.

And here are the install instructions that came with it.
