I see some threads kinda bounce around this issue. I went out to start my liberty- nada to the starter. So after a quick test of the starter, started into the ignition issue. Looks like the piece the key tumbler/cylinder attaches too is bust up. Worn out. I have a parts Liberty, so I am trying to pull the part from there- but no one makes this assembly new to buy huh? Seems like a common problem with these liberties? I am way out in the outer islands of Hawaii, so parts aren't easy to come by!

Dorman 924-704 will get you rolling again.

I am not generally a fan of Dorman parts, but i have used this in the past. If you have an Advance Auto, Auto Zone, O’Reilly, etc, it should be easy to source.

Helpful hint - if you are an amazon fanatic, Advance will price match for you. Have to do it online and buy it online, but saves about 20 bucks.

Good luck and Mahalo!
