Just got a liberty

So I just got a liberty its 2002 band it has 197k and us a northern michigan jeep seems to run fine shakes like a he'll going down the road25-30mph and 40-50+ getting tires on it friday but I noticed when I stop turn the wheel all the way to either direction it moves about a foot for word than stops if I give it has to try and push it I t makes a loud pop or clunk sound almost feels like its still in 4wd but its not any ideas o that would be great and is it worth putting the money into it has a little sludge on the cap so it'll get a good oil change and some plugs as well also its the 3.7

Thinking possibly a cv shaft almost feels af its still in 4wd
