"IPOD interface provides seamless integration of iPod into Car Stereo System. You will be able to operate the iPod by pressing car stereo buttons or steering wheel controls." this thing is awesome, cd quality sound and everything. I ran the cable into the glovebox for now, but I think im going to run it to the center console just for easy access. The brand I got was "grom audio interface" just something off ebay, for all chrysler vehicles. Plugged right into the back of the cd player, in the cd changer spot. Took all of 8mins, including removal of the screws center trim, radio etc. Cost me 75 bucks after 6 dollar shipping.

I am not an IPOD user, although I do own a non-IPOD mp3 player. Anyway, I recently installed a Sony car stereo which has a front mounted USB port. All I have to do is copy MP3s to any thumb drive, plug it in and I am listening to music. Just like your IPOD, the quality is outstanding. Several companies are starting to offer the front mounted USB ports, which is a good option if you do not want to have to use an external player.

I do that with Kenwood with rear mounted 3' cable with USB end, which goes pretty good in the glovebox, connected to 30GB HDD.
