Hey all,

First time poster, long time lurker. Couldn't find any information regarding the JVC deck so I thought I'd see if anyone knows if it would be compatible.... it is a single DIN deck, so that's fine, but the one thing that concerns me is in a line on the CNET review that says...

CNET Review said:
The most striking design feature of the KD-NX5000 is the integrated 3.5-inch color LCD screen built into its front faceplate. The depth of its screen makes the unit tricky to install in standard single DIN-sized slots (on most cars, you'll have to take off the surround bracket to fit it in), but its bright, high-resolution display allows the system to offer a usable navigation system.

Would this still work? I would love to have an in-dash GPS system other than the RBx series, mind you the 3.5" screen is a drawback...

If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.....

Hello and welcome to the forums.
I don't see why it wouldn't fit on our liberty, because when you replace any headunit it already sticks out a bit, especially those with removable faceplate.

Of course you would have to get bracket/adapter to get this fittet properly without ugly space around it, and crutchfield is the place to go. they will provide the bracket for free and you can wire this using the custom harness they will send you with the purchase.

And if in the slight chance that it doesn't fit, you can send it back and get your money back..

Good Luck

Sorry to hear you are in Canada and that if Crutchfield doesn't provide the same service they do for us down here. I am sure you'll figure out a way, and I believe you can still call Crutchfield USA as if you were calling from US and get all the info you can about this unit and compatibilty.
