What is your check list for spring?
I power washed under Jeep the best I could a few days ago...
With all the rain today I pulled into an underground and began a few checks...
First off, I had not checked the lock lugs (1 per wheel) in a while, and some were not as tight as they should be.. fixed that with the ole torque wrench..

Next was replacing a center brake light bulb, and get some spring cleaning /wax around it as it was again the green slime, no one wants rust in this area either!

Then it was time to grease up the JBA 4.5's and get some water outa there!

Take a peek at the air box and filter and see how Mr. Sponge Bob is doing he's ok!

The Muffler sure looks a bit rusted..I hate salt...

The PML tranmission Pan looks good and no leaks, the Oil Pan Is going to need a stiff brush and some high temp paint though..Yeiks!

No Leaks on Riddler Diff area this is good news...

Checked for dirt and color of Hoat, level is good, had it flushed a few years back now by dealer..

Checked for Cracks in EPDM OEM belt and still is in good shape, lots of groovy area left...Also looked at injectors for leaks or anything out of the ordinary around fuel rails, checked PCV rattle ok, removed hose into throttle body and had a peek to see if it needs a quick spray..ok for now but on list to do this summer again..rad hoses etc all look good.

Overall lots to do this summer, going to get it up on hoist and have a better inspection once it is dry out..

Spring? What is this thing you speak of. I thought it went winter, late fall, winter.

To do this spring
Wash/clay/wax
Full underside inspection with rust touch up. Make sure the underbody coating is doing ok.
Shine up my exhaust tip... I also hate salt.
U-joints but that may wait until summer
Clevis lift and shim. May wait until summer.

Ordering JBA's 3.5 econo lift components. ( cheaper if ordered separately????) instating a set of slim 100 watt lights on the roof rails with KC brackets. Installing my roof basket and some reverse led lights to the rear and wiring. Getting new tires once the lift is in and the alignment has settled in. Good wash and wax if I find time. Lol.

Well, paint or plastidip them 16's and diff cover.
New tires 235/75 either nitto's or bfg's( suggestion)?
Shave the front and pound on them pinch welds. To fit those tyres.
Tcase service and rear diff.

Going to have to do an intermediate shaft in the future. Did a once over of my suspension today already and replaced all the seals on the drivetrain. Belt, and tires and a/f are all fairly new as well. Just an FYI, cracks in the drivebelt are not the only determination for service life. You also need to gauge the wear of the belt ribs. If the ribs wear too much, they won't have enough grip and cause issues, long before you see a crack.

I have to remember to spray all those rubber boots with silicone spray again this year!
That keeps them from cracking and it is worth doing.
The other thing I want to do is get rid of the OEM Value brake pads up front and move into ceramics or semi metallic up front.
I also need to inspect the universal joints and get some Tremclad spray action happening in many areas.

Power wash underside.(salt and ATF+4 from blown ps hose)
Wash and wax,Rainx glass.
Clean, strip and paint MOABS.
Install LED floods and light bar on front bumper.
Switchout OME Mediums for OME HD springs and replace clevis with 04.(bigger pinch bolt).
Switch tires to MOABS and trim/mold wheel well for clearance.
Reinstall snow catcher/roof basket.

And maybe a little :fishing1:

Have 4 new calipers setting in the garage, Black Magic pads, waiting on the rotors to show up and some sunshine.

OME Springs & Shocks - soon.

The usual cleaning and wax.

Change all rear bulbs to LED.

Besides the usual maintenance stuff....

1. Flush n fill TC, Diffs, Trans, radiator
2. Replace growly muffler/exhaust.
3. Powder coat wheels, tow hooks and hitch
4. new lug nuts
5. Engine skid plate

6. Lift??

I'm just as busy helping a buddy with his '03 Rennie, which needs a lot of TLC.

Trans and t-case installation (still).
Cosmetic sanding and painting (next weekend, weather pending).
Flush/refill rear diff.
Minor reorganizing and fabrication projects.

Already done this year:
Flush/fill front diff
Plugs
PCV
Oil change
Inspect/grease ball joints
Inspect brakes

I have a little under 2 months until a major road trip... time's a wastin'!

I wish I could just paint these over somehow into black, but the spoke areas are plastic covers on the chrome clad wheels.
I guess I will need to break out the dremell polisher.

I've got quite a laundry list. Just hit 150,000 miles a week ago.

- Switched to full synthetic oil in February. Huge difference in my vehicle! (Quaker State 5W-30, and Purolater filer)
- New air filter 2 weeks ago
- Replaced front suspension yesterday (Monroe QuickStruts)
- Front brake job (New pads, anti-rattle clips, and pin boots)
- Replacing rear suspension later this week (Moog springs, Monroe SensaTrac shocks)
- Got a leaky valve cover gasket, and a new one ready to install
- Installing new spark plugs (Autolite coppers)
- Complete brake flush in the next month or so
- And whatever else pops up...

Rust repair on the underside and anywhere else

Maybe paint wheels

Make front and rear bumpers, sliders, and maybe skids

General maintenance where it's needed

Front sway bar bushings & end links, rear shocks and parking brakes. Muffler will have to be done soon, too - for the same reason as above. Belt and tensioner. Coolant flush & fill. Rebuilt front driveshaft CV head. Right front wheel bearing/hub assembly.

And probably more I can't think of at the moment...

Hmm,

- Replace steering rack

- Adding a clevis spacer and add JBA UCA to the front.

- Remove Renegade fake sliders and add real ones.

- Actually mounting a tire to my 5th rim.

- Good roof rails

- 4.10s......one day.
