Been wondering about a few of our regulars on here who are from the Northeast in Sandy's path...

Probably a few others I've missed. Some incredible devastation along the Atlantic coast. confused.gif

They're sitting in line waiting to get gas

The part of CT I'm in is alright for gas, but I was just in Long Island for a wedding over the weekend...ridiculous. Not only are people waiting in line for gas, they're parking and leaving their cars in line for days because they heard a truck is coming sometime soon with gas. I brought 10 gallons extra with me to make sure I could get back, ended up giving 5 of that to a friend who still has no power and needed it for the generator.

on here
Upstate NY we got lucky. Got barely enough rain to wet the ground and some real minor wind gusts that blew some leaves around. Downstate got all the damage.

We have a noreaster that supposed to affect us later this week according to preliminary reports. Snow too. We'll see what happens.

Good in my town. Seaside Heights and the Toms River area, however, was devastated. Such an unfortunate sight.

We were ok in PA, hour south of Scranton, but my in-laws lost their house in Point Pleasant Beach NJ. And my brother-in-laws don't have power still in Union NJ and Lincoln Park, NJ.

hour south of Scranton. So does that put you in Pottsville area or Allentown area?

I'm in Pittston PA. No power loss here but was surrounded by it. Spent the weekend before the storm stormproofing the outside and it paid off. No water in the basement :)

I pay my taxes in Pottsville and whatever I have left goes to yuengling brewery!

Hell yea for the brewery.

I love being in that area. Specially since there is a Home Depot, Lowes, and Harbor Freight with in a 1/2 mile of each other on Rt 61 there. Once i get board on 61 I head to Cabelas.

I travel for my job and from time to time I have to stay in a area and wait for other work orders to come in (if they come in). So browsing stores kills time a lot better than being stuck in the my truck. :p

Yep. Bought my coil spring compressors at harbor freight on sunday to do my lift. It should be delivered tomorrow. And you can go four-wheelin (with an ATV) on anthracite property too. I forget what yearly dues are now.
