That's kind of confusing on that deal considering the filters on the bottom of both of them the 45 RE and the 545 The only thing different between the 545 and a 45 is the 5:45 has a double overdrive but there's not much difference in the housing 5:45 is just an upgraded version of the 45 with a different programming on the drivetrain module everything else is relatively the same from what I'm looking at. They both mine the return for it is the bottom line of the transmission on my 45 and my 545 one to 2004 Liberty sport the other one's a 2006 Liberty CRD and there's no difference between the 5:45 and a ram pickup versus the Jeep Liberty or I didn't have any issues everything bolted up I pulled the tail housing off the two-wheel drive transmission that came out of the '06 quad cap Dodge with a 5'7 pull the tail housing off the 545 that was in the CRD bolted them up and it has a transfer case out from behind a 45 mounted to the back of the 545 which once I did that I no longer have the part-time four-wheel drive but at least you could go down the road there wasn't a noticeable difference in any of it The control module mounted right up to the valve body and the program off the deep's powertrain module function perfectly fine. Unless there's more than one type and if that's the case easiest thing to do is pull the pan and see which goes in to the filter. Now one thing I did notice there is a difference between the filters on a 06 ram 1500 with a 5'7 If you're working on a CRD the oil pan is deeper for the transmission and the filter is taller or longer Major differences none that I noticed
