I just finished this mod, and I'm still having some fast flashing. Used a .1 ohm 6 watt resistor. I put in line resistors on the front signals and everything seems to be working fine now. Not sure what went wrong here. Leds in all four signals, 3 brake lights, and reverse lights (moved to rear bumper). Thoughts?

Can you tell what ones you used for the brake lights? I picked up some a year ago at Autozone and all I could do was blow fuses. Finally gave up.

Did the rear turn signals years ago - just some generic resistors behind the lamps.

Hello everyone :)
I am pretty darn new around here. I just decided to keep my 2002 Liberty for a while longer vs getting a brand new Grand Cherokee 2018 Summit. I figured I would spruce it up and keep it fun.
I will be doing a new radio, amps, speakers, lights, and fixing odds and ends.
This site has been AMAZINGLY helpful, so THANK YOU ALL!

Now to the current question:

I just ordered some resistors. I got both the .1 Ohm 3W and .1 Ohm 7W

My symptoms are as follows:

I replaced all of my lights in my 2002 KJ Limited, headlights, fog lights, reverse, brake, interior, rear turn signals, front turn signals, and front parking light bulbs.

When all exterior lights are off flashers work perfectly.

When I turn on headlights or even just parking lights, turn signals turn on and stay on (don't flash).

All the fixes I see mentioned are more for the hyper flashing. But I noticed someone here mention a similar issue.

Any thoughts?

Thank You :)

In case anyone is curious here are some links to all the LED lights I used:

Going to do this on my 06 Liberty. Now I wonder if I can do the same on my 07 Wrangler!! Well done!
I’m using Lasfit 3157 led bulbs with built-in resistors at the bow and stern. Got them from amazoon and I’ve been very pleased with them.

I haven't looked at bulbs in forever, built in resistors now?! That sure makes it easier, and if they are made well enough to live a long time or priced cheap enough to replace, that sure is the all in one stop right there.

Yes, I do hope they last a long time because they are a bit pricey, but they are very bright and give the Jeep a more modern look. I have a post in my Member’s Journal where I list all the led lamps I’ve purchased. Replaced everything but the headlights and driving lights.

I hope you have better luck than I did. In my case, I installed some LED reverse lights that were awesome. They didn't last long and after the third or fourth replacement the company that sold them to me decided to ignore my "I need to get this replaced under warranty" emails. But boy - they were nice when they worked... :-(

Oh, sure. All I can say is that everything is working right now.

I had one type of bulb from on brand, so hopefully that was all it was for me and your experience will be better.
