Lift.. Spacers... Tire Size... on.. yeah.. stock 17" rims

Hi there.. new to the forum and new to jeeps. just installed new shocks, springs, control arms, bushings.. almost every suspension part today in my jeep. I have the daystar 2.5" lift coming next week. I´m running 1.5" spacers to beef it up a bit and i do have some light rubbing when i take deep turns on front.

Now.. im running 235/65/17 tires right now, I want to go bigger of course but want to keep the stock rims and honestly dont wanna take the spacers out, without spacers the wheels just look too sucked into the car.

I´ve heard i could go up just one size.. 245/70/17, is that true?

If your rubbing now, larger tires will rub more.

I'm running the stock wheels with 2.5" SPRING lift and 265/70/16's and still rub a bit when turning. That's after pounding the pinch seam down and adding weld to the steering stops.

A spacer lift and wheel spacers will not play nice, especially if you go larger on the tires.

First thing to do is to return that crappy spacer lift
Then we can tell you the proper numbers for the OME springs and the right shocks to use
otherwise, you'll be repairing front end parts from now till doomsday

Those two things dont have anything to do with each other.
Agreed the spacer lifts are junk. But wheel spacers combined with them (or on thier own) don't make it worse...
Running spidertrax spacers here, no issues.

What does it mean?

It means that there are a lot of times that with the design of vehicles, when a wheel spacer is used there will be rubbing when using wheel spacers. When the wheel is turned, if there is rubbing, a wheel spacer will push the tire into the body, frame, or whatever it is hitting, even more. And, if there is rubbing now, going to a larger tire will make it even worse, whether spacers were used or not.

That is what it means.

Also, just because something works for you, or me, or whomever, does not mean that it will work for all. I have a 2.5" spring lift with 265/70/16 tires on stock wheels. I rub when the wheel is turned to just about full lock. If I was to put the "no issue, don't make it worse" wheel spacers on, the wheel well skirting would get ripped out and I'd be blowing tires all the time from them being smashed into the pinch area (even though it IS folded over already).

And as far as them not having anything to do with each other, they do. I've seen wheel spacers work on stock height vehicles, that as soon as it was lifted the tires would rub. I've also seen lifted ones that NEEDED wheel spacers, or different wheels because they rubbed after lifting, but not before.
