Light bar Switch wiring?

Its not that bad. Its just like hooking up any other relay since it has a relay inside of it. Its only 4 wires. +, ground, power for light inside the switch and the wire to turn on the relay for your lights.

Yeah, but the switch I want to change to only has connections for 2 wires and thats it. The stock switch I have that came on my jeep works fine, I just prefer a different style switch, but not enough to try and mess with 4 wires I think.

Ok I understand the wiring to make the light turn on and the ground, but I'm confused on the rest. I did all this 3 months ago and forgot what I did. As of now I have a wire that connects to the relay (which will turn on the relay) and a positive wire(I think from the battery). Whenever I want them on I just connect them together. Are these the right wires that you are going to be using, or should I redo everything?

Are you talking about wiring up the renny light bar switch or just a normal relay?

Try to stick to the wire colors that Ive shown in my pictures to keep down confusion. So far it seems you know what the yellow wire(light in the switch) and black wire(ground) goes to. The brown wires give the internal relay in the switch its power to energize and also gives the relay(for my spot lights) power which it will be turning on. The orange wire comes out of the switch and goes to the relay for my spot lights. This wire will get 12v when I turn the switch on.

JeepJeepster, I'm thinking of ordering one of those switches from the dealer to wire up to my Hellas I'm putting on. If I'm ordering just the switch alone, will it come with leads, or will I need to get the whole wiring kit/some sort of harness?

Only question that remanes: Do the HELLA's turn off when you turn your high beams off? (While you keep the park lights on....)

Must of missed this.. Yup, the hella's turn off when I turn the bright lights off.

Im really not sure kjman. If I had to guess if you ordered the switch from a dealer I would say it wouldnt come with a wiring harness.

Thanks! Maybe I'll just stick to the switch I already bought and mount it on the trim panel. That way I can use the relay and harness that came with the kit.

Any update Wiring diagram conection or photos... my switch is from a 06 renegade lightbar ( 6 wires ), and mi KJ is a 07 Sport
