I have an 03 limited edition and I was wondering if anyone had some input for good rotors and pads. I was hoping to either get some slotted rotors or coated ones. I was thinking about some from Rock Auto, but I wanted some input.

Specifically looking at Power stop part numbers K2162 and crk2162.

Input would be appreciated, thanks.

Welcome to the forum. I moved this to the KJ General discussion section.
Personally I use Napa Ultra Premium rotors and Mopar Semi Metallic Pads with good success.

I went with the power stop daily driver set and couldn't be happier -- but we do not off road. Whatever you go with go ahead and get your parking brake shoes. Mine were totally gone.

First do not get caught up in the trap of drilled or slotted rotors
Complete ripoff for a daily driver , now if are racing on a road course every weekend then yes but I highly doubt you are doing that
Agree with Liberty TC and his choices
I also have the best Wagner pads and rotors on my 03 and they do great as well
the 04 has what Liberty TC is running
and the 05 has Mopar pads and rotors that I got from a former Jeep Tech

I always buy locally if at all possible, never mess with Rock Auto

no brake dust from any of them I run

I love Centric premium rotors, EBC pads are good. Running Wagner thermoquiet pads and they're not quiet.

I was going to go with the power stop kit this time around, but the EBC yellow stuff kit was cheaper surprisingly, and I love the way they perform.

I put centric rotors on my truck and got duralast gold pads. When they run down, get more on warranty and never pay for pads again as long as I own the truck which will be decades. I do like the centric rotors.

Your napa premium are likely centric or rabestos anyway. Napa does not make parts.

I just did the crk2162 and it seems good so far. They seem to be higher quality than any other midrange rotors and pads I’ve dealt with in the past.
Did the e brakes too, probably drive around the past 4 years without any.

I went with the Power Stop K2160 front brake kit and ceramic pads. It is a bit cheaper on Amazon with free shipping.

I prefer drilled/slotted rotors...not due to any increase in brake performance, but because for me they have eliminated rotor warping in my daily drivers. I have put them on multiple vehicles and never had a rotor warp (but I'm sure they can if you try hard enough). The coating helps to keep the rust at bay.

Good luck

Back in 1972 started doing Brakes and Suspension work professionally, heck even went to school for it
Learned a lot and not much has changed over the years
Shysters sell parts that people think improve the life of their parts etc
Have had people pay me large sums of money for things like drilled and slotted rotors for example just wasting money
Having been driving over 50 years never had a rotor wrap on any of my vehicles, just buy the best available at the local NAPA in most cases
and run them 80-100,000 miles with no issues
If you really look at rotors and they development, construction etc then drilled and slotted are more prone to warp in most cases unless you are into road racing or riding your brakes all the time like I see a lot of folks doing.
Drilled and slotted are in same category as pine tree air freshners, spacer lifts , angry eyes on Jeeps and eye lashes

I did this exact setup and developed bad surging (aka, some people say warped). I hope your experience is better. I replaced them with powerstop and for me, I haven't had any surging with them (on my second set).

Aww man . How long did you have them on until you noticed? Did you get any heavy use out of them ? Thanks
