It should reset itself. Did you check the spare?? It's probably that tire that is low.

yep, just make sure they are all at the same PSI...then just drive it for a few miles and it should reset itself.

Also, if you open the glove box and take a look right under the passenger side grab handle, you will notice a small little "shelf" that should be storing the owner's manual. :)

You will probably need to add air a few times as the weather gets cold.

Im glad they added that system to jeeps. Isnt it a law that it must be standard on all vehicles? People do not understand that you must add air as the temp drops. Ive added it twice this fall already and will probably need to add it once more when the temps really fall.

And be sure to check the spare.

Yes....I had my TPS system go off on me in cooler weather.

You are also right, the TPS system is required and comes under "safety" systems just like airbags. I did read it somewhere but I forget where......I'm having a "brain cramp" right now.

Dave

P S - The TPS system is required (mandatory) starting with the 08MY on all vehicles. Prior to 08MY some will have them and some will not.

Is this a standard feature or an option? How would I know if I have it?

One way to check would be to look at your valve stems and see if they are aluminum with aluminum valve caps. (instead of rubber) That is actually part of the sensor.

Or you could look in your owners manual to see what it says. If you have an EVIC it will display there IF you have low pressure. If not, it would display on the dash I think.

I do not know if all 06 KJ's have the system as standard. Someone elce will need to chime in. Mine is an 05 Limited and it has an EVIC and was standard equipment (on the Limited model).

It is not standard on '06 models....mine does not have it, I have the rubber valve stems and have to check my pressure the old fashioned way.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Don't you know your supposed to change the summer air in your tires for winter air:D .

You really should check your PSI at least once a week,TPS or not.

Oh and some advice----If you offroad alot like me and use a CO2 onboard air system to refill your tires you really need to actually replace the air in your tires when it gets cold since CO2 is really effected by temp. The first day it dropped below freezing my tires looked flat even though I had them at 42psi,I checked them and they read 29psi,filled up at gas station and have had to 5 times before they held steady at 42psi,no leaks either just the temp sensitive CO2.

You put 42PSI in your tires tjkj?

And huseyin, I keep around 36psi in mine and they were down to 31-32 this past weekend so I put 34 back in them. It warmed up today and they went up to 37-38 which isnt that bad. Alittle much for rain though but Ill be fine since its going to cool on down soon.

Thanks for pointing that out, I bought a used 2005 KL and thought the same thing, I just went and checkled and there it was! The previous owner probably never found it either and it was never opened!
