More Information Regarding Kj Renegade Roof foglight mounting

My 04 KJ has the Sports trim to it, I bought the renegade roof fog lights. Apon arrival it only came with the lights themself, no wiring harness or switch. I'm wondering if they'll even mount, and what I need to get exactly to mount these. Hopefully didn't just waste money. Thanks!

So not having the wiring isn't the end of the world. I would have to look up what the factory harness looks like, but most likely has a fused cable to battery, which is controlled by relay via ignition to the actual lamp switch itself. You don't have to use ignition on to allow power to the switch, but it's a good idea so that you are less likely to leave them on without thinking and kill your battery. At least you will realize you don't have your keys and wold be forced to remove it and lights would go off with key removal.

Not a waste of money, but just kind of depends how you want to set it up.

Left windshield pillar socket - what’s it for?

Hey all, While deattaching side pillars to pull a DAB antenna underneath in my 2005 KJ, I’ve noticed an unused socket. Does anyone know what’s its purpose?

Check your A pillar,you may have this plug for the roof lights and also check under your dash for the opposite end of this plug.
