ok, before i begin, keep in mind, i am new to all this. previous cars have all been sports cars.
i have an '06 automatic. the 4wheel drive lever next to my sifter reads... 2, 4h, n, 4l
i have read many posts saying to not use 4wheel on pavement etc, ok, got it.

1) when is the right time to use 4wheel?

2) what is the difference between 4hi and 4lo? other than driving speed.

3) what is the proper method to engage 4wheel drive? do i throw the jeep into neutral while it's driving? if so, do i let off the gas and do it or keep the forward motion going?

4) who killed laura palmer? i never finished the show to find out

1) On slippery surfaces,dirt/gravel roads,mud,ice,deep snow.
2) 4lo multiplies the torque to the wheels by 2.72,you shouldn't go over 25mph in 4lo,use in rockcrawling, deep mud, deep snow,or any situation where alot of low end power is needed and slow speeds(pulling poeple out).
3)You can engage 4hi while driving(and in ****** in gear) at any spped under 55mph,just take foot of gas pedal, shift, and put foot back onto gas pedal.4lo there is 2 ways---1st you can be slowly rolling(2-3mph),place ****** into "N",then pull the t-case shifter into 4lo,put ****** into gear again---2nd you can stop, place ****** in "N",pull t-case shifter into 4lo,then put ****** into gear and go.
4) Don't know,don't care.
