Any pics, or tips on how to mount them to the bumper would be sweet! I as well have a set of hella 500's waiting to be mounted
. Way to much stuff to do with to little time
Sounds good!
I will commence drilling later this week!
Is it the 2006 model year that has the (5) 6 inch factory fog lamps mounted on top of the bumper?
OK, here are the pictures I was looking for, makes more sense than trying to explain it:

I would suggest coming forward another 1/4" from the grille (1 1/4" total). This will allow you to aim them high enough without rubbing on the grille.

This one shows you the opening on the bottom of the bumper where you can access the bolts/nuts to get the mounts tightened down. I would suggest after drilling that you put a small bead of silicone sealant around the holes, then put the bolts, washers and mounts on. The sealant will help keep water away from the bare metal to prevent rust.
Are those light covers plastic? Does anyone know the difference between the Hella 500 vs Hella 500FF.
The standard 500s have a parabolic reflector, whereas the 'FF's have a 'free-form' reflector, which I believe is a modified parabola. The FFs are supposed to give a better pattern than the standard 500s. I haven't seen them work myself so I can't say whether or not its that much of a difference.
OK, I think that's enough for now...
