Well, it seems the OME lift is officially off the table. I found out that I'll need eye surgery, and with a $3000 insurance deductible, that pretty much burns all my "fun money" for a while.sad2.gif

So, because of the deals I've found on various parts, it's back to OEM coils with a wesway lift. I know a guy that wil sell me full set of new KYB shocks for $175. and I just ordered 3/8" top plates from Boiler.

So the new Jo6pak budget recipe is this:
Moog coils (f/r) $160
KYB shocks (f/r) $175
Boilers .375" shims $50
4 Extra rear isos $50
.375" Clevis lift $0

Suspension total = $435

Goodyear Silent Armor 235/70-16 (4 @ $105 per tire) plus a fifth for the spare
Paint 5 stock steelies using Duplicolor HP wheel coating, graphite color.

Have a three day weekend the first part of May, so now I just wait for all the parts to arrive.

Plus $50.00 for a front end alignment and
Pics for us priceless

Hehe, yeah, I 'll post pics of the project and the final product.

I crawled around under the Libby yesterday and it looks like I'll need to hit alot of the undercarraige with a wire brush and Rustoleum while we have it apart too.
Now it's back out to get back to stripping the wheels....

The Libby goes up on jack stands tomorrow after work. My bud Eric is picking up the wheels for prep and paint.

Shop is expecting the parts to assemlbe the coil overs by noon on Friday
Appointment for tire mounting and alignment is Saturday afternoon.

Tight schedule, hope everything goes smooth and by the numbers.

Suspension is done. New rear coils and shocks with 2 extra isolators. New front coil overs, boilers shims and clevis. New UCAs on both sides up front.
The new springs are nearly 2" longer than the old set, so I'll be sitting pretty.

Cleaned off some rust and touched up some paint underneath. Noticed that my rear discs are in pretty rough shape, so that's the next project.

Everything went smooth until the my bud Eric calls and says the paint (Dupli-Color HP wheel coating) takes 7 days to fully cure.....not sure how I missed that on the instructions:pp: Postponed the tire mounting and balancing till Wednesday, so now I'm down to a motorcycle for the next 5 days. Hope it doesn't rain too hard.

Wheels are back on. Put everything back together last night. drove a bit today and it rides great. Tho, anything is better than my old sacked suspension.

Scheduled for alignment tomorrow.

Wheels look great
I'll post pics as soon as I get a new patch cord for my camera.
