Need help! F***** up head unit install!

Take the stereo back out, unhook everything, and see if everything works. If it doesnt and you are 100% sure that you do not have fuses blown, well, we will tell you whats wrong when we get there.

Eh you people and your thinking...It doesn't show a Plug and Play Harness for our jeeps because it's Listed as 84 and up Chrysler... If you have a specific harness though that you directly need from them call them and tell them what you need! I got my harness ready to go out of the box for my pioneer for $20 with shipping...

mine was for like 2000-2005 libertys not an 84

I got it fixed. And yes, it was one stupid very minute fuse that I didnt check that just so happened to control all the interior lights, keyless entry, and yes, the radio. Thanks for you help guys. And yes, I did get the wire adaptor for the pioneer to jeeps. In any case, that as well is my first time I've seen those wire harnesses!

Don't see how this would help anybody because if you cut the factory harness all your doing when you sell the vehicle is being an utter dick to the next owner so why not be nice and actually do something beneficial for you and the next person inline..

actually i think it makes for a neater and more professional install.
not to mention the fact that it would take only a minute to put the factory radio back. but hey...whatever floats yure boatrofl2.gif

Dunno about you guys, but ThunderbirdJunkie has no problem with sitting down with the soldering iron for about 20 minutes to solder each wire and heat shrink it.
Not that hard, bros.

Not sure what everyone is talking about but you can get a wiring harness that will connect to the stock wiring then give you wires on the other side. Still gotta spice but you do not need to cut anything at all. Very easy and simple.

Exactly.

$20 for a universal Chrysler installation kit from Target that includes the dash inserts & wiring harness pigtails...a little bit of soldering and heat shrinking...you're good to go.

No offense but why in the hell do people still install stereos by splicing into the damn factory harness it just down right ****** me off! chairshot.gif okay now that I'm calmed down Pioneer, Sony, Alpine, Clarion, and many more Now are plug and play it's called go down to the local walmart/target/best buy/frys and get a Chrysler harness *You mean they make those?!! * Yes they do make them and they are much better than cutting the factory harness for someone else to deal with when you sell it.

So moral of the story NEXT TIME USE A PLUG N PLAY! and Secondly CHECK YOUR GROUND!

some shit u just shouldnt cheap out on.....extra 8 bucks on a wiring adapter saves a lot of time and trouble.....i kno some1 who needed an entirely new factory harness in their car because the fd up....500 dollars down the toilet

A day late

Exact thing happened to me when I installed mine. I left some wires improperly protected, crossed em, and boom, lights, locks, and errythang. I think I posted a thread a while back about how it messed with my rear glass too. Shame I coulda told you sooner, haha.
